Container gardening workshop

This week a group of families from the neighbourhood schools plus several gardeners from the collective gardens network came to our Oasis garden for a tour, and to learn how they, too, can garden in containers.  They were thoroughly impressed by the quantity of plants growing on the roof, as well as by how fast the plants were growing!  Our peppers are already the size of a toddler’s fist!

Louisette, Nikolay and Marina, three Oasis gardeners, showed workshop participants how to construct their own self-watering containers, while Diane and François helped with the transplanting of peppers.  Participants got to take home a lovely pepper plant for their balconies, and Oasis gardeners got to show off all of their hard work. What fun!
